It would be real cool to get venues on here with information like, booking contact and number, whether or not the venue provides PA, what style of music goes over best at the venue, how many bands they like to book per night and length of set.

This would help pair venues and bands/artists much more effectively, so you don't have a jam rock band with 15 minute songs getting booked at a hip-hop venue, or at a punk venue where bands have 2 minute songs so a 45 minute set = like 22 songs, so the band can get in their whole set list, but the jam band could only get in 3 songs.

Yes, I have made this kind of mistake before, booking at a metal club playing classic rock inspired tunes. We kinda went over like a fart in church.

With some sort of set up where venues let us know what they're looking for in bands, the bands only need to try to book at venues that they're suited for, cutting down on press kit costs for the band and time reviewing press kits for the club.

Clubs would only receive press kits of bands that would do well at their place, so no worrying about boring/scaring your customers and both bands and clubs benefit.

I'm a late getting in here - sorry. We have a Venue Feature here on the site that can do all you ask - it only re4quires the venues to sign up. If anyone is friendly with their venues have them sign up and this can be done within the parameters of the Songswagger program.
