Biography
Cory Wilkins has been playing around San Diego since May of 2004. Promoting his album, "turn Up the Band," recorded with his band, "Blind Pedestrian," in Florida, Wilkins received glowing reviews from the San Diego Reader.
In 2006, he released his follow-up, "San Diego Summer," which received FM air play in San Diego and LA and was the winner of three LA music awards including, rock album of the year, best male rock vocal and breakthrough album.
Wilkins has now put together a line-up of incredibly talented musicians for original gigs and recordings. This new line-up includes bassest Eric Deland of the Burning Sage Band. With his spot on harmonies and killer bass grooves he brings the full package to the rhythm section.
Long time Cory Wilkins Band drummer Laura Wilkins remains behind the kit, as always providing a tight and spirited style that makes it near impossible for show goers not to get up and dance.
Jeff Sers handles most of the lead guitar duties with amazing signature solos that fill out Wilkins' songs perfectly. He has worked in the music business as a member of touring bands, session musician, independent label owner and recording engineer. He now adds guitarist for the Cory Wilkins Band to his long list of accomplishments.
Completing the sound are the two harmony singers, Sabrina Wallne and Julie Kaufholtz. They add a dynamic rarely seen in independent acts. Their voices, combined with DeLand's create a whole new dimention for the band's over-all sound.
The Cory Wilkins Band has been very well recieved over their first few months of playing out and the audiences are steadily growing. With Wilkins' catilog of songs mixed with the powerful band, their high energy performances are fast becoming the thing to see in San Diego.
